    This lecture focuses on the complex pathophysiology of dental disease (both congenital and acquired), including the following etiologies and patterns, as well as how these etiologies merge and overlap:

    - trauma

    - insufficient occlusal wear

    - metabolic bone disease (MBD)

    This extensive lecture is focused solely on visual description of dental disease and related complications. The visual description includes dental and bony specimens as well as diagnostic imaging modalities displaying radiographic, CT, and endoscopic abnormalities. A special focus is put on comparison between radiographic and CT abnormalities.

    Diseases discussed in this section include:

    - elongation of clinical crowns

    - elongation of reserve crowns and apices

    - periapical infections

    - osteomyelitis
