The BASICS of RABBIT DENTISTRY
The first session of the course introduces basic but very important topics of dentistry of pet rabbits, such as anatomy of the head and teeth, physiology of mastication, and nutrition.
The clinical exam in the conscious patient and the procedures for diagnosis and treatment of dental disease under anesthesia will also be discussed.
Introduction to Dentistry of Exotic Companion Mammals (15 min.)
This short lecture is focused on:
- an overview of dentition in selected exotic mammal species;
- the taxonomic groups of rodent species with different dentition;
- the clinical traits of the acquired and progressive dental disease in pet rabbits
