It includes several visually-oriented practical sessions.

This lecture focuses entirely on the standard surgical treatment of periapical infections and odontogenic abscesses. It includes:

- the clinical presentation;

- clinical and pathophysiologic considerations;

- a practical session with videos of the step-by-step procedure;

- postoperative management of the patient;

- follow-up and complications.

This advanced lecture goes further than the previous lecture, focusing on the surgical techniques for the treatment of specific mandibular abscesses. It includes:

- topographic anatomy of the mandible;

- abscesses of the incisive portion of the mandible;

- abscesses of the body of the mandible;

- retromasseteric abscesses involving the mandibular fossa.

This advanced and extensive lecture focuses on surgical techniques for the treatment of specific maxillary abscesses and empyemas, including:

- topographic anatomy of the maxilla;

- abscesses of maxillary incisor teeth;

- bacterial dacryocystitis and abscesses of the nasolacrimal duct;

- abscesses of maxillary cheek teeth 1 and 2;

- empyema of the alveolar bulla;

- retrobulbar abscesses (including clinical presentation, overview of diagnostic imaging, the intraoral treatment, and a practical session with videos of the step-by-step extraoral approaches and procedures);

- parabulbar abscesses (infraorbital, retro-orbital);

A specific section will also be dedicated to the following:

- combined mandibular and maxillary abscesses;

- non-periapical odontogenic abscesses;

- non-odontogenic facial abscesses.
